Terms of Service
Last updated: 18 May 2026
Effective date: 18 May 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and EventLens DOO Zrenjanin (“EventLens”, “we”, “us”, “our”) and govern your access to and use of our website (eventlens.rs), our application (app.eventlens.app), and any related features, content, and services (collectively, the “Service”).
By creating an account, scanning a selfie, uploading photos, or otherwise using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.
1. About EventLens
EventLens is a photo-sharing platform that helps event attendees find and receive photographs of themselves and other event attendees taken at events by professional photographers, using facial-recognition technology to match a user’s selfie against the photographs uploaded for that event.
The Service is operated by:
EventLens DOO Zrenjanin
Klajnova 18, 23000 Zrenjanin, Republic of Serbia
Company ID: 21998303
TIN (PIB): 114277204
Phone: +381 (0)62 944 96 76
Email: info@eventlens.rs
2. Who can use the Service
You may use the Service if:
- you are at least 16 years old (or the minimum digital-consent age in your country if higher);
- you have the legal capacity to enter into a contract under the laws of your country; and
- you are not barred from using the Service under applicable law.
If you use the Service on behalf of a company or other legal entity (for example, as an Organizer or Photographer), you represent that you have authority to bind that entity, and “you” in these Terms refers to that entity as well.
3. User roles
EventLens supports the following roles. Different sections of these Terms may apply to you depending on your role:
- Guest — an event attendee who uses the Service to find and (optionally) purchase photos of themselves and other people.
- Organizer (Host) — an individual or company who creates and manages an event on the Service.
- Photographer / Uploader / Tagger — a professional invited by an Organizer to capture, upload, manage, or tag photos for an event.
- Visitor — anyone browsing our web-based app (eventlens.app) and/or public website (eventlens.rs) without an account.
4. Your account
4.1 Creating an account
You create an account by providing an email address and a password and verifying your email. You must give accurate, current, and complete information, and keep it up to date.
4.2 Account security
You are responsible for:
- keeping your password confidential;
- all activity that occurs under your account; and
- notifying us promptly at info@eventlens.rs if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
We are not liable for any loss resulting from unauthorized access caused by you failing to keep your credentials secure.
4.3 One account per person
Your User account is personal to you. You may not share, sell, or transfer your account.
4.4 Account deletion
You can delete your account at any time from Account Settings → Account Deletion inside the app.
When you request deletion:
- Your account enters a 30-day grace period. During this period you can cancel the deletion at any time by simply logging back in.
- After 30 days, your account and personal data are permanently anonymized. This action cannot be undone.
- We retain anonymized records of completed orders and fiscal receipts for the periods required by Serbian tax and accounting law.
We can also close your account if you materially breach these Terms — see Section 14.
5. How the Service works for Guests
5.1 The face-matching flow
- You take or upload a selfie inside the app.
- We send the selfie to our facial-recognition provider (AWS Rekognition), which generates a mathematical representation of your face — a faceprint.
- We compare your faceprint against the faces detected in the event’s photos and link any matches to you.
- Matched photos appear in your “My Photos” view, where you can preview, purchase, and download them.
5.2 Consent
The first time you use facial recognition you will be shown the Photo Matching and Data Privacy Consent screen. You must accept that screen to use the feature. You can withdraw your consent at any time by deleting your account or by emailing info@eventlens.rs.
5.3 Selfie quality requirements
For accurate matching, the selfie you upload must:
- be in JPEG or PNG format;
- be 15 MB or smaller;
- be between 80 × 80 and 4096 × 4096 pixels;
- show a single, clearly visible face with reasonable lighting, no extreme angles, and (ideally) eyes open and face unobstructed.
The Service will reject selfies that do not meet these requirements with a clear error message.
5.4 Matching is not perfect
Facial recognition is highly accurate but not infallible. The Service may occasionally:
- miss photos that are of you (false negatives), or
- link photos that are not of you (false positives).
If this happens, you can re-scan with a clearer selfie, or email info@eventlens.rs. EventLens is not liable for missed or incorrectly matched photos beyond what is set out in Section 12.
5.5 Photos of other people
When you scan, you may find yourself in photos or see photos in the public event gallery that contain other people. You agree:
- not to download, screenshot, scrape, copy, redistribute, or publicly post photos that you have not purchased;
- not to use photos of other people for any commercial purpose;
- not to use the Service in a way that infringes the privacy or image rights of any other person.
5.6 Purchasing photos — currency and payment
You can purchase photos of yourself through the in-app checkout.
- Display currency. Prices may be displayed to you in EUR, RSD, or USD, depending on your settings and the Organizer’s configuration.
- Settlement currency. Regardless of how prices are displayed, all payments are settled in RSD (Serbian Dinar). If the displayed currency is not RSD, the amount is converted to RSD at the exchange rate applied at the moment the order is created. The final RSD amount is shown to you before you confirm payment.
- Payment method. Our current payment provider is OTP Banka Srbija (Serbian bank, via the SIA payment gateway), which processes card payments in RSD. We may add additional payment options in the future; if we do, we will update these Terms and the in-app checkout accordingly.
- Card details are entered on OTP Banka Srbija’s secure payment page. EventLens does not see, receive, or store your full card number, PIN, or CVV.
5.7 Fiscal receipt (fiskalni račun)
For every successful purchase, EventLens issues a fiscal receipt in accordance with Serbian fiscalization law (Zakon o fiskalizaciji). The fiscal receipt:
- is issued in Serbian;
- is sent to the email address you register your account with or, in case of anonymous checkout, the email you provide at checkout;
- is the official record of your purchase for tax and consumer-protection purposes.
Please make sure the email address you provide is correct and accessible to you.
5.8 Magic-link access
After payment, in addition to the fiscal receipt, we email you a unique link to access your purchased photos. The link is valid for the lesser of:
- 30 days from the date of payment, or
- the event’s expiry date set by the Organizer,
whichever comes first. After the link expires, you can still access your photos by logging in to your account if it is still active.
5.9 Right of withdrawal — digital content (EU / EEA)
Photos delivered electronically through EventLens are “digital content” under EU consumer law and under Serbia’s Zakon o zaštiti potrošača.
When you place an order, you expressly ask us to begin delivery of the digital content immediately and you acknowledge that, by doing so, you lose your statutory 14-day right of withdrawal once delivery has begun. This is standard practice for digital content and is required for us to make photos available to you instantly.
If you have not yet downloaded any photos and you believe you have a valid reason for a refund (for example, the photos are not of you, or there is a technical fault we cannot resolve), please contact info@eventlens.rs and we will deal with it in good faith.
6. How the Service works for Organizers and Photographers
6.1 Creating events and uploading photos
Organizers can create events, invite Photographers and other team members, configure pricing, and publish photos. Photographers and Uploaders can upload photos to the events they have been invited to.
6.2 Your responsibilities for uploaded content
You are solely responsible for the photos and other content you upload. By uploading content, you represent and warrant that:
- you have the legal right to capture, upload, and share the content (including, where required, the consent of the people depicted, or other lawful basis under applicable law);
- the content does not infringe any third party’s intellectual-property, privacy, image, or other rights;
- minors depicted in the content have parental or guardian consent where required;
- the content does not contain anything illegal, obscene, defamatory, hateful, or otherwise objectionable.
You also confirm that you have a lawful basis for processing the personal data (including images) of the people depicted in the photos, and that you will respond promptly to requests from those people to have photos of them removed.
6.3 Licence you grant us
You retain ownership of your photos and other content. You grant EventLens a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable licence to host, store, reproduce, transcode, watermark, embed in in-app digital frames, distribute, and otherwise process your content for the sole purpose of providing the Service — including delivering photos to matched Guests and, where you have configured this, taking payment on your behalf. This licence ends when the relevant event is deleted or when you delete the content, except where we are legally required to retain it.
6.4 Pricing, payouts, and fees
Pricing is configured by the Organizer (within the rules set by EventLens). All payments are settled in RSD (see Section 5.6). EventLens may charge a platform fee, a transaction fee, or a revenue share, which will be disclosed to you in your Organizer dashboard or in a separate written agreement. Payouts to Organizers and Photographers, where applicable, are made on the schedule and to the Serbian bank account configured in the payout settings or stated in a separate written agreement.
Taxes (including VAT / PDV) are the Organizer’s or Photographer’s responsibility unless we explicitly state otherwise. EventLens is registered in Serbia and issues fiscal receipts to end customers in accordance with Serbian law.
6.5 Event lifecycle and data deletion
Events have a configurable retention period. When an event expires or is deleted by the Organizer:
- Immediately: the event is hidden from Guests and Photographers, and Guests lose access.
- After the retention period: photos, frames, watermarks, promos, face-recognition data, and related database records are permanently deleted. Anonymized order records and fiscal receipts are kept for legal reasons.
The Organizer is responsible for choosing a retention period that matches the consent and expectations of the people depicted in the photos.
6.6 Team members and permissions
Organizers can invite team members with different roles (Host, Photographer, Uploader, Tagger) and grant or revoke specific permissions. You are responsible for managing your team’s access and for the actions of users you invite.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for any unlawful, harmful, fraudulent, or deceptive purpose;
- upload, post, or transmit any content that is illegal, obscene, defamatory, threatening, hateful, infringing, or otherwise objectionable;
- attempt to scrape, harvest, or systematically download photos that you have not purchased;
- attempt to bypass watermarks, paywalls, rate limits, or any other technical protection;
- reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service;
- introduce malware, viruses, or other harmful code into the Service;
- probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of any part of the Service without our written permission;
- interfere with or disrupt the Service or any servers or networks connected to it;
- use the Service to train, fine-tune, or develop any machine-learning or facial-recognition system;
- use bots, scrapers, or automated tools to access the Service;
- resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service except through features we provide for that purpose (e.g., as an Organizer or Photographer).
We may investigate suspected violations and take any action we consider appropriate, including suspending or terminating your account, removing content, and reporting unlawful activity to the authorities.
8. Intellectual property
8.1 Our rights
The Service, including its software, design, logos, trademarks (“EventLens” and the EventLens logo), and all related content not uploaded by users, is owned by EventLens DOO Zrenjanin or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. Except for the limited rights expressly granted in these Terms, no rights are granted to you.
8.2 Your content
You retain ownership of the photos, selfies, and other content you upload, subject to the licence in Section 6.3.
8.3 Feedback
If you send us suggestions, ideas, or feedback, we may use them without obligation or compensation to you.
8.4 Copyright complaints
If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, please contact info@eventlens.rs with:
- a description of the work you believe is infringed;
- the URL or location of the alleged infringement;
- your contact details; and
- a statement that the information you have provided is accurate.
We will review every notice in good faith and take appropriate action.
9. Third-party services
The Service relies on third-party providers, including (without limitation):
- AWS — hosting, authentication, storage, facial recognition.
- OTP Banka Srbija (via the SIA payment gateway) — card payment processing in RSD.
- Email-delivery providers — sending transactional and notification emails (including fiscal receipts).
Your use of those providers is also subject to their own terms and privacy policies. EventLens is not responsible for the acts or omissions of third-party providers.
10. Service availability and changes
We work hard to keep the Service available, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at any specific time. The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any feature) at any time, with or without notice. Where the change is material and affects you adversely, we will give reasonable advance notice. We are not liable for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation, except where required by law.
11. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, EventLens disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty arising out of course of dealing or usage of trade.
We do not warrant that:
- the Service will meet your requirements;
- facial recognition will identify every photo of you, or will not occasionally mis-identify someone;
- the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free;
- any data you store on the Service will be safe from loss (though we take reasonable measures and you should keep your own backups of important content).
Nothing in this section limits any warranty or right that cannot be excluded under mandatory consumer-protection law in your country (including, for Serbian consumers, the Zakon o zaštiti potrošača).
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- EventLens will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, business, or goodwill, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms is limited to the amounts you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
13. Indemnification
If you are using the Service as an Organizer, Photographer, or otherwise in a professional or business capacity, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless EventLens and its officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and reasonable legal fees arising out of or related to:
- your content (including any infringement of intellectual-property, privacy, or image rights of any person depicted);
- your breach of these Terms; or
- your violation of any applicable law.
We will tell you promptly about any such claim and let you control the defense, provided you do not settle anything that affects our rights without our written consent.
14. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, in whole or in part, with or without notice, if:
- you breach these Terms or our Privacy Policy;
- we reasonably believe you are using the Service to harm other users, third parties, or EventLens;
- we are required to do so by law or by a competent authority; or
- we discontinue the Service or the feature you are using.
On termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including Sections 6.3, 8, 11, 12, 13, 15, and 16 — will survive.
You can terminate your relationship with us at any time by deleting your account if you used our Service as a Guest or Uploader, or by sending out a written notice (in the form of an email sent to info@eventlens.rs) if you used our Service as an Organizer, Photographer, or Tagger. (Section 4.4).
15. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them are governed by the laws of the Republic of Serbia, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
The courts of Zrenjanin, Republic of Serbia have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, except that:
- if you are a consumer in the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence, and the mandatory consumer-protection laws of that country apply to you to the extent they are more protective than these Terms;
- if you are a consumer in Serbia, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of your place of residence, in accordance with the Zakon o zaštiti potrošača;
- nothing in this section prevents us from seeking injunctive or other equitable relief in any competent court to protect our intellectual-property rights or the security of the Service.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If the changes are material, we will give you reasonable advance notice — for example, by email or by an in-app banner — before the new Terms take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the new Terms take effect means you accept them. If you do not accept the new Terms, you must stop using the Service and may delete your account.
17. General
- Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any in-app order confirmation, fiscal receipt, or written agreement we sign with you, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service.
- No waiver. Our failure to enforce a right or provision of these Terms is not a waiver of that right or provision.
- Severability. If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force.
- Assignment. You may not assign or transfer your rights under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations under these Terms to an affiliate or a successor in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or asset sale.
